A 40-year-old Ford F-150 is on sale in Texas right now for an asking price of $5,000, The Drive reports. It would probably not be worth as much if not for custom bodywork made completely out of wooden panels.
The creator stripped his F-150 of its OEM bodywork and put handmade wooden panels in its place. He replaced the top, the door, the hood complete with air vents, the bumpers and the radiator grille in this way. The roof received a glass window and mosquito nets were put into the side windows.
The cab has been lengthened slightly to let the rear bench seat reside closer to the rear axle. As a result, the truck bed has been shortened to a small fraction of its original size. Many interior parts such as the dashboard, the door panels and the floor have been trimmed with wood as well.
The seller neglected to mention the engine, but says that the transmission is automatic and that the pickup still starts and can be driven.
