Ford has dropped the production of its all-electric F-150 Lightning truck to one-third of the original volume.
The official reason is the declining demand for battery pickups as the whole EV market is experiencing a growth slowdown.
The executives claim that there will be no mass layoffs due to this decision. Workers previously engaged in the production of the truck will be transferred to other facilities or offered retirement with all benefits.
