The Blue Oval has been struggling with finding buyers for its already-made EVs, but stays positive that it needs more.
Over the past year alone, Ford has poached around 300 former employees of Tesla, Rivian, Canoo and other promising EV startups, as well as some from the now-defunct automotive division of Apple Inc.
These industry professionals have now teamed up in a new department of Ford to combine efforts in designing an affordable EV capable of holding back the Chinese EV brand invasion.
