2023 Ford Super Duty bows with a highly impressive spec sheet

It has been around a month since Ford took the wraps off the new F-Series Super Duty, complete with revised looks, advanced tech and more powerful engines. Today, we have finally received the detailed specifications, and they do not disappoint.

Those in the market for a gasoline version of the truck have two options. The more affordable one is a new 6.8-liter V8 boosted to 405 hp (302 kW) and 603 Nm (445 lb-ft) of torque. Those looking for a bit more power and torque may consider a different V8 churning out 430 hp (321 kW) and 658 Nm (485 lb-ft).

If diesel is your preferred engine type, Ford is offering a new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 available in 475 and 500 American horsepower variants (354 and 373 kilowatts, respectively). The torque numbers are particularly impressive at 1,424 and 1,627 Newton-meters, respectively (1,050 and 1,200 pound-feet). All-wheel-drive is included as a standard feature starting from the XLT trim level.

In addition to the mountain-moving torque, the new Super Duty lineup boasts unprecedented towing capabilities. Using a gooseneck hitch enables you to tow trailers weighing up to a colossal 18,144 kilograms (40,000 pounds). This necessitates including the Max Tow Package in your order.
