Roush Performance is a name widely associated with powerful superchargers for Ford vehicles, but its latest Super Duty truck package promises no additional power or torque. What do the buyers get for their $13,400 or more, then?
Perhaps the biggest gain is handling ease. Roush FOX 2.0 suspension components and new perforated brake discs let you keep the truck well under control in a variety of situations where it would otherwise struggle. The tuner’s 20-inch wheels shod in 35-inch General Grabber A/TX rubber should also help things, especially on bad roads.
There is only one performance upgrade in the package aside from that, and it’s a dual-pipe performance exhaust system. Roush doesn’t clarify whether it raises the actual engine output at all, but it’s not like the stock 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and 1,625 Nm (1,200 lb-ft) of torque are anything to sneeze at.
Rounding off the list are purely aesthetic tweaks – body-matched fenders, rim lighting and a new front grille. The interior gets a Roush logo on the console, new dash gauges and WeatherTech mats.
