An ancient Ford Falcon gets turned into a hardcore hot rod

Few of us have fond memories of the Ford Falcon. It’s not like the North American vehicle was bad per se, but it was completely overshadowed by the rising star of the Ford Mustang.

Truth be told, the second-generation Ford Falcon (1964–1965) had a peculiar charm of its own. Unlike both the previous and the following generation, the Falcon Mk2 had sportier body outlines that made it almost special. No surprise, then, that the car was chosen for tuning by the Reddit user Rat-Rod-Bob-Builds.

The tuner extended the front wheel arches, installed custom wheels with broader tires in the rear, lowered the suspension, added exhaust sidepipes and swapped the factory engine out for a custom one with a massive supercharger on top.

As you can see on the photos, the enormous powertrain necessitated removing the hood cover, essentially turning the Ford Falcon into a hardcore hot rod ride. Too bad we don’t have any kind of performance-related figures to go by…

How do you like this custom build? We here at FormaCar think it is quite pretty, in a rugged sort of way.
