Ford Fiesta ST gets chip-tuned to 225 hp / 168 kW

Ford tuner Mountune has released a new power kit called m225 for the Ford Fiesta ST compact hot hatch.

By means of a simple ECU remap, the team has managed to squeeze 25 extra horses (19 kW) out of the stock 1.5-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine of the car, bringing the performance total up to 225 hp (168 kW). Perhaps more importantly, it has managed to improve the maximum torque curve and with it, the overall driving experience.

The upgraded Ford Fiesta ST sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in six seconds flat, while it stock counterpart manages the same in 6.5s.

Mountune also recommends installing the mTune SmartFlash mobile app which will enable you to install new and improved engine firmware as soon as it gets released. The app can also be used to switch between three presets: m225 (tuned performance), Stock (standard performance), and Anti-Theft (the engine won’t start until you switch to another preset).
