This seventh-gen Ford Fiesta was converted into an amphibious car, but remained street-legal.
You can recognize the Fiesta donor under all that boat-on-wheels mascara. The upper half of the body and the wheel rims are OEM parts, while the lower half was grafted onto it from a Dutton Reef boat.
The tuner moved the engine behind the rear seats, raised the exhaust exit point, stretched the wheelbase and chopped the roof to enjoy open sky during water excursions.
A normal accelerator pedal is provided to control the screw propeller, and a regular-looking steering wheel handles the turns. If we had to point out flaws with the project, we would mention that the amphibious ride maxes out at 13 km/h (8 miles per hour) cruising in water. Even so, it is quite a remarkable and unique build.
