Ford has officially confirmed that the small Fiesta hatchback will go out of production in Cologne next year. To say goodbye, the company has released a touching video.
The thing that interests us the most is the all-electric Puma shown at the end of the nostalgic short movie. Several months ago, the company said the EV would be produced in Craiova in 2024.
As for the Fiesta, it debuted 46 long years ago and has since sold over 18,000,000 units worldwide.
With the hatchback gone, the Ford factory in Cologne will also stop making internal combustion engines, moving the production of turbocharged three-cylinders to Romania and turning the original production site into what the manufacturer calls the ‘electrification HQ’.
