This crumpled-looking Ford Fiesta can be yours for just $5,100

A particularly compact Ford Fiesta hatchback is on sale in Washington State right now for a meager $5,100. The seller advertises it as a capable city car, but admits that it has a salvage title.

The original owner of this 2011 Fiesta needed a trailer for his RV, and he reasoned that it would make a nice trailer if shortened a bit. He deleted the three rear doors along with the rear bench and proceeded to cut the body nearly a meter (3 feet) shorter. The car has been actively used post-conversion and has put over 95,000 km (59,000 miles) behind it.

Despite its comical body proportions, it can be driven separately from its RV and handles fine, per the owner. Fuel consumption is also comparatively low at 31.7 MPG (7.4 liters per 100 km). The stock Fiesta offers 28 MPG (8.4 liters per 100 km).

The Craigslist listing warns that the car lacks ABS, ESP and airbags. It is also unclear where and how it can be made street-legal. Still, with a body as weird-looking as this one, we’d expect it to be reasonably popular among buyers looking for offbeat cars.
