Ford Focus RS taken on two BMW M3 in a drag race showdown

Time and again, we receive proof that the Ford Focus RS rightfully counts among the best vehicles in the ‘Hot Hatch’ team. Furthermore, the same holds true for all generations of the RS, including the older ones like this Ford Focus RS Mk3. Watch the sleeper car take on two BMW M3s at once, an E93 and an F80.

Two out of the three cars have been tuned to deliver more power to the wheels, while the BMW M3 F80 remained stock, the author of the video claims. Too bad we don’t have any exact figures to go by here.

The stock Ford Focus RS Mk3 ships with a 2.3-liter V4 engine rated at a healthy 350 hp (261 kW). It sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds.

The BMW M3 E93 packs a naturally-aspirated V8 engine with 414 hp (309 kW) and a seven-speed DCT box. Its more modern counterpart – the F80 – ships with as twin-turbo V6 capable of 425 hp (317 kW) at most.

But enough talking. Hit Play and prepare for a surprise!
