As you may remember, the stock 2.3-liter engine of the current-gen Ford Focus RS has a nominal power output of 350 horsepower (261 kilowatts). Starting today, Mountune offers a boost to 400 hp (298 kW) that doesn’t even involve installing a new turbocharger.
The British tuner released two upgrade packages for the latest Ford Focus RS: the m400R and the m400X.
The m400R kit is free for all owners of its legacy version, the m400. It brings along 400 hp (298 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lbft) of torque. Once installed, car owners also get access to such advanced engine parameters as the maximum torque, fuel efficiency, launch control, full-throttle gear change, etc.
The m400X kit costs £595 and offers the same level of performance. In addition to that, it also results in drastically improved acceleration dynamics, response and mid-range performance. Mountune says this is the recommended choice for the owners of the stock Ford Focus RS.
