The SEMA-2017 Tuning Festival is an event, where you can traditionally see many new design solutions, but not only. Here much attention is paid to the technical side of progress. Sports "daughter" of the famous American automaker, the company Ford Performance has presented a very interesting development.
Viewers were presented with a unique drift-lever, created for the "charged" Focus RS. This technical innovation was named Drift Stick. It is located between the driver's seat and the gearbox knob. Drift Stick is an aluminum lever that activates an electronic parking brake.
Many will say that this is just an improvement of the usual hydraulic "hand wheel", but everything is a little more complicated. When the Drift Stick system is activated, the couplings are disconnected, then the ABS blocks the rear wheels. As a result, the driver receives a controlled drift. The cost of the new system is 999 US dollars.
Let's remind, Ford Focus RS has received 2,3-liter unit V4 with supercharged, capacity of 350 horsepowers. The "charged" hatchback accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
