Ford Focus ST rides low on ultra-light Barracuda rims

Since Ford wrapped up its plans to produce a next-generation Focus RS, the ST version is as hot of a hatch as we are going to get now. At least it is still adequately powered and can be turned into a real looker with a couple of aftermarket mods.

The example shown here received its share of attention in JMS Fahrzeugteile. The tuner fitted it with a black diffuser housing two exhaust tips down the sides, a Milltek performance exhaust and KW Variant 3 coilovers. As for the wheels, JMS’ song-standing partner Barracuda supplied these.

Installed here are Project 3.0 rims from the Ultralight Series. The lightweight and durable set measures 19 inches in diameter and 8.5 inches wide, and comes finished in glossy black. The thin Y-shaped spokes flaunt sporty orange accents.

Powering the five-door car is its standard EcoBoost 2.3 mill rated at 280 hp (213 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. The sprint from nothing to 100 km/h (62 mph) lasts less than six seconds, and the top speed lies at 250 km/h (155 mph).
