The world-leading US car manufacturer Ford has decided to end the history of its highly popular Focus RS hatchback with a twist. The last 50 cars of this model will roll off the assembly lines in April as part of the high-performance Heritage Edition series.
In this series, the stock 2.3L engine of the Ford Focus RS gets a new turbocharger which takes its output up to 375 horsepower and 510 Nm torque. It will work in conjunction with six-speed manual transmission. The manufacturer provides no data on the measurable dynamic characteristics of the car, but these can be expected to be much better than those of the stock Ford Focus RS. The latter goes 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds and can reach 268 km/h (166 mph) at most.
The body of the new Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition retains the classical orange/black lacquering. The interior features sport seats, a warmed-up steering wheel and a panoramic roof.
Each of the 50 cars from this limited series will be made available for purchase in Great Britain at £39,895.
