The Hoonigans, a team of car enthusiasts and reviewers, has decided to arrange a test to see whether a Ford Focus RS RX would be able to drive off a road drenched in liquid soap. They posted the results on the YouTube channel TheHoonigans.
For the purposes of the test, they have built a small walled platform and filled it with several bottles of liquid soap. Then they invited Canadian rally driver Steve Arpin to try and drive off the soapy surface. He first attempted it with the launch control activated, but switched gears manually during the second run.
Watch the video of the unusual test or read on for spoilers.
The Focus RS RX has managed to leave the “soap trap” both times, owing to its powerful 650-hp (485-kW) engine and full-fledged mechanical AWD.
