Watch an old Ford Focus RS tear up the autobahn

The Ford Focus RS caused quite a stir back when it debuted with its flared fenders, low suspension and other typical sports car attributes. Most importantly, it packed a five-cylinder engine rated at 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW). The car in this video by AutoTopNL is 14 years old, but it is also not a stock Focus, so it can show you a trick or two.

The five-pot block was originally designed by Volvo using heavy-duty components and an aluminum casing. To hit 97 km/h (60 mph), the Focus needed less than five seconds, and its top speed was also impressive at 262 km/h (163 mph).

The owner of the car in the video says it was tuned to deliver 370 PS (365 hp / 272 kW) to the wheels. But will the elderly Focus stand up to that claim on a limit-free German speedway? Watch and you shall find out!
