Ford Focus ST shows up on spy photos

Ford may have axed the Focus in the United States long ago, but it remains available to the rest of the world, where an updated ST version finished in green was spotted this weekend along with a normal version painted blue.

The pre-production Focus ST pictured here can be seen hiding redesigned headlights and DRLs at its front end. The taillights appear stock, but the patterns inside look new. As for the powertrains, we would be surprised if the hatchback and wagon received something new in this department. The current options are two 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinders rated at 190 and 280 PS (187 and 276 hp; 140 and 206 kW, respectively).

As for the blue test car, it’s a regular, non-ST Focus. Note the single tailpipe and simplistic wheels. The wrap is in the same places as the ST, but it can still be seen that the radiator grille is different.
