The stick-shift version of the latest Ford Focus ST can now be optioned with a track package that keeps the engine stock, but introduces important suspension and brake enhancements.
New springs are 50% stiffer than the old ones, while new KW coilovers support adjusting compression and rebound in 12 and 16 stages, respectively. The company claims Ford Performance had successfully tested the new chassis setup at the Nürburgring. Of course, users can set their own parameters for each track.
The reworked suspension results in the ride height being 10 mm (0.4 inches) lower than stock. New 19-inch wheels reduce the unsprung weight by 10 percent compared to the old ones and conceal powerful Brembo brakes behind the spokes. The rotors now measure 363 mm, up from the standard 330 mm.
You will recognize the sporty hot hatch by its gloss-black exterior trim. Judging by the lack of interior photos, everything stays the same in the cabin. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine under the hood also stays untouched and still churns out its usual 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW).
