Ford F-Series puts on two-tone outfits for 75th anniversary

The Ford F-Series will be celebrating turning 75 years old in 2023, and the company has prepared a Heritage Edition lineup for sale for the occasion.

The changes will be largely aesthetic and focused on the exterior, which will be resprayed in a combination of two retro shades. Modest changes are expected inside as well, but hardly any technical upgrades.

The palette choice is not coincidental, as Ford used to produce such F-Series trucks in the mid-20th century. Buyers will be given a selection of five colors juxtaposed against contrasting bumpers, roof, pillars and lower doors. You can pick either Grey Carbon or Black Agate for these contrasting parts. Similar designs were popular in the 1970s.

The interior comes trimmed in either grey or black leather with fabric used for the seat middles and an embossed ornament on the center console. An anniversary edition lettering at the top of the windshield lights up as soon as you activate the touchscreen inside.

Power for the special lineup will come from 2.7- and 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines, as well as the good old 5.0-liter V8. All parameters and prices will be revealed in mid-July along with the pre-order start.
