2020 Ford S-Max & Galaxy MPVs debut with more options

Ford has introduced the 2020 facelift versions of its S-Max and Galaxy minivans. Both sport slight visual tweaks and ship with extra on-board equipment.

On the outside, both models boast revised bumpers and larger radiator grilles. In the cabin, the seat trim and the gear selector are new. The seats come with ventilation and massage functions by default, and the more expensive trims add 18-way adjustment to the list.

Both MPVs now also benefit from the FordPass modem that acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Aside from providing Internet connection for up to 10 simultaneous devices, the system establishes precise coordinates of the car, tracks its performance and maintenance parameters, and even looks up the road quality online, warning the driver of any potential problems ahead.

The Galaxy and S-Max will be additionally available with a 2.0-liter, fuel-saving diesel engine rated between 150 and 240 hp (112 and 180 kW, depending on the chosen configuration). This engine works in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which comes to replace the old six-speed robotic one.
