Ford only produced 45 units of its second-gen GT racecar, and this example is nearly pristine.
The seller claims the car was put together two years ago, and has only 534 km (332 miles) on the odometer to show for eight hours of driving.
Like its road-legal counterpart, the GT racer (see video) was a collaboration between Ford and Canadian automotive expert Multimatic. It comes equipped with a finely tuned aerodynamic kit that gives it 400% more downforce than the stock coupe has.
The standard 3.5-liter V6 also enjoys a range of improvements that see its output rise from 656 PS (647 hp / 482 kW) to over 700 horsepower (522 kilowatts).
In accordance with FIA regulations, the cabin has a roll cage, two Sparco seats, six-point harnesses and a carbon-fiber steering wheel.
The winning bidder will be getting two extra wheel sets wrapped in Michelin tires. New Ford GT racers started from $1.2 million USD, and this example may fetch much more than that thanks to its pristine condition.
