Kid Rock selling his Ford GT for $0.5M+

This 18-year-old Ford GT is set to go for $500,000 - $575,000 USD thanks to only having around 3,000 miles (5,000 km) under its belt and having been exclusively owned by Grammy-winning rock star Robert James Ritchie a.k.a. Kid Rock.

The musician acquired one of the first production GTs to have rolled off the assembly line in August 2004. He loaded it with all kinds of extras, including a livery in red with traditional white stripes, BBS forged aluminum wheels, red brake calipers, and a McIntosh premium audio system with a mighty subwoofer.

The auction holder notes that the car is in excellent condition – not just because it was basically unused, but also because it received regular maintenance. Whoever buys it also gets an electric guitar with Kid Rock’s autograph on it.

Ford made slightly more than 4,000 GTs of the early generation in 2004–2006. Each of them had a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 rated at 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. Sprinting to 100 km/h (62 mph) was a matter of 3.3 seconds, while the top speed was as high as 330 km/h (205 mph).
