Anthony Lo, former chief designer at Ford, has left the American corporation for BAIC Group in China after several months in office. In 2010–2021, Lo had designed automobiles for Renault.
His position at Ford is now occupied by Todd Willing, who has 21 years of experience in the company. Willing has co-designed plenty of cars for the Blue Oval over the years, most notably the second-gen Ford GT that came out seven years ago (see video).
In related news, Ford CEO Jim Farly let it slip the other day that he had been driving a Xiaomi SU7 for several months. He bought the all-electric sports car in Shanghai half a year ago, imported it into the United States and made it his daily driver in Chicago. He admitted that he was enjoying it a lot, to the point of seeing the Chinese EV industry as a tangible threat to his own business.
