Everrati teams up with Superformance on an electric Ford GT40

The two companies will revive the legendary GT40 model on electric power using their extensive electrification (Everrati) and GT40 replica building (Superformance) skills.

The images depict the first concept of the car chassis, which has been designed specifically to reflect the all-electric nature of the build. Engineers took care to ensure an optimum balance of weight across the axles and designed custom traction batteries for this car alone. Engine power remains unannounced.

This would not be Everrati’s first project involving an electric version of a classical supercar – not by far. In May this year, the company revealed its intentions to power up the Porsche 911 (964) Coupe using a single electric motor worth 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and a 53-kWh battery. Outfitted like this, the car would be able to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in four seconds flat and run 240 kilometers (150 miles) on a charge.

The British company is also working on a nature-friendly ‘Pagoda’ modification of the W113 Mercedes-Benz SL, albeit one rated at just 182 PS (179 hp / 134 kW).
