Ford Mach-E GT comes in at $17k premium

Ford has begun collecting pre-orders for the Mustang Mach-E GT in vanilla and Performance Edition flavors. Let’s see how much more expensive these are compared to the base spec.

The GT starts from U.S. $59,900, which is $17,005 above the regular Mach-E. Its dual electric motors produce 487 PS (480 hp / 358 kW) and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque, taking it from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds. Driving range amounts to 402 kilometers (250 miles) according to the rather strict EPA standard.

Those looking to drive a GT Performance Edition will need to secure at least $64,900. The power stays the same, but the torque goes up to 860 Nm (634 lb-ft) and the sprint time drops by 0.3 seconds. The range, however, is lower at 378 km (235 miles).

Both newcomers boast a special decorative panel in place of the conventional radiator grille, large wheels, red brake calipers, sport seats, interior lighting, and a dedicated Track Mode.
