After showing us the naked body of the Ford Maverick around a month ago, car paparazzi are now following up with a handful of new shots made in Mexico.
One of these depicts a non-cladded pickup truck on an assembly line. You can zoom in and study the details for yourself – just not the doors, which are missing. The rest of the pics were made on a public road and show a heavily disguised test vehicle.
The upcoming Ford Maverick will be based on the proprietary C2 platform of the new Bronco Sport. It will also share the powertrains with the little Bronco, specifically the 1.5L one rated at 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW) and the 2.0L one good for 249 PS (246 hp / 183 kW).
The official premiere should take place in the coming months, but sales likely won’t begin until 2022.
