The First Edition of the compact-sized Ford Maverick truck will not ship until late this year, but there is very little known about the model. Thankfully, someone photographed one of these cars near Las-Vegas, so let us have a closer look.
The blue pickup has color-matched door handles and a bed with a tonneau cover on it. Aside from this, Ford promised us black side mirror caps and roof, as well as exclusive wheels (this example has standard OEM wheels, though).
Ford never specified how many units of this special edition it intended to churn out, but given over 36,000 pre-orders collected within a few days from the announcement, it should be very popular one way or another. At $20,000 for the base spec, it is also Ford’s most affordable truck on the market.
A 2.5-liter four-pot under the hood receives assistance from an electric motor to hit the transmission with 193 PS (190 hp / 142 kW). As an alternative, buyers could opt for an EcoBoost mill rated at 253 PS (250 hp / 186 kW).
