Ford Maverick gets its first serious off-road edition

The Ford Tremor family of overlanding trucks includes the Ranger, F-150 and Super Duty lineups. The recently launched Maverick model joins the list now with upgraded suspension, reinforced half-axles and 25 mm (1 inch) of extra ground clearance.

The compact pickup also boasts new 17-inch wheels wrapped in cross-country tires and makes use of Trail Control, a cruise control system optimized for bad roads.

You will recognize this version by its distinct radiator grille, darkened badges, orange accents and tinted lighting. Paying extra nets you a special styling package for the hood and lower body. For the cabin, some colorful accents and embroidered ‘Tremor’ logos are as far as it goes.

The new version will become available for ordering in the United States in September.
