VIDEO: Ken Block boasts his 1,400-HP Mustang Hoonicorn

Although Ken Block is a professional rally driver, his reputation is that of a crazy custom car builder. Every single one of his cars causes quite a stir on the tuner scene.

His latest ride is this Hoonicorn, a muscle car loosely based on the 1965 Ford Mustang. As you may have guessed, tuner Hoonigan did the job. The team initially gave it a formidable 845-hp (630-kW) engine (that’s actually more than the Dodge Demon has!). However, Ken still found it lacking and ordered another upgrade.

The engineers then ditched the original engine in favor of a 6.7-liter, twin-turbo V8 with a methanol injection system and tons of other features. The monster motor proved capable of spewing out some 1,400 hp (1,044 kW) and 1,250 Nm (922 pound-feet) of torque.
