A Ford Mustang fan has found a LinkedIn recruitment ad posted by Ford Michigan factory, asking for a new engineer who would be busy improving the car’s noise proofing. The interesting bit is that the car is specified as ‘2023 Ford Mustang S650’.
The seventh generation of the Mustang had originally been planned for 2020 launch, but the automotive giant postponed it indefinitely. Given the 2023 model year of the Mustang in the ad, we should expect it to be revealed sometime in 2022.
The current generation, which is featured in our gallery and the video here, arrived six years ago and still remains more popular than the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, despite slowly declining sales. In 2019, the Mustang sold 72,489 units, becoming the best-selling sports car in the USA for the fifth year in a row.
The old generation is also not quite gone yet. The company will be unveiling the Mustang Mach 1 soon, and possibly also a hybrid-powered Mustang.
