Carroll Shelby Signature Series debuts with 836 hp

Turning the Mustang into a supercar took two years, but the result is well worth the wait.

The Carroll Shelby Signature Series adds dual Whipple turbochargers to the stock V8 Coyote engine. Along with extensive tweaks made in the intake and exhaust departments, the result is a boost from 441 hp (329 kW) to 836 hp (623 kW). Tuned like this, the pony car sprints 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. You may choose between six-speed manual and ten-speed automatic for the transmission.

The MagneRide boasts numerous performance-oriented tweaks, the brakes become stronger, and the aluminum fenders wider in the Signature edition. As for the wheels, customers enjoy access to a whole range of Monoblock Forged rims.

The inside space comes wrapped in leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber, and Carroll Shelby’s autographs adorn the seats, the dash plaque, and even the floor mats.

A total of fifty cars will be produced and sold in North America only, available in Fastback and Convertible body styles. Prices begin from U.S. $127,795.

If this feels too exclusive for you, consider the Shelby Super Snake 2020 announced in December. It has the same power rating, comes at a slight discount ($123,295), and ships in batches of 500 units per year.
