The edge of the hood is now located 20 cm below. The folding roof is retracted into a special compartment in the rear of the car, which is why the car trunk became significantly less than that one of the coupe. Also Mustang Convertible became the first car in its family with full-LED front lights and a digital dashboard, which represents the display with a diagonal of 12 inches. The driver will be able to choose a convenient form of display: standard, sport and track. The choice of the future car owners will also be represented by three colors: blue Kona,orange Fury and maroon Royal Crimson.
Under the hood of the car there is a turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine of 2.3 liter or 5.0-liter V8 motor. Ford does not speak about the number of generated horsepowers yet, but it is expected that the capacity of the power rating will increase. Engines will work in pairs or with a standard 6-speed "mechanics", or the new 10-speed automatic transmission, which was developed together with GM, and will be able to provide a very fast gear shift.
Safety will be provided by the advanced systems among which there is Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian recognition technology, as well as distance and lane control.
