Ford Mustang Mach-E goes semi-autonomous in 2021

Ford has unveiled its self-driving system called Active Drive Assist. The Mustang Mach-E SUV lineup will be the first to get it next year.

To take advantage of the autopilot functions, owners will have to purchase the Active 2.0 package, as well as buy some additional software to ensure proper operation.

Once done, the car will be able to drive itself in most situation using its on-board cameras and sensors. Having a route mapped in advance is required, and the autopilot will keep track of the driver to make sure they continue to watch the road. If the driver gets distracted, the system will alert them and otherwise take measures to avoid accidents. The developer claims it works even with sunglasses.
