The Ford Mustang is so wildly popular in the United States that people often customize it just to stand out a little bit. Then again, encountering a build as badass as this one doesn’t happen every day for sure.
The creator of the car – Mark Stevens – participated in the Baja 2018 autocross event and needed a suitable vehicle for it. He started things off with a 1965 Ford Mustang (see video), endowing it with a modern 5.0-liter Coyote V8 mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. To guarantee proper power delivery to the ground, he retrofitted the ride with Shelby GT350 subframes front and rear, and also upgraded the brakes and the cabin.
The project includes plenty of custom-made parts and components, the crazy-looking metallic body kit among them. Mark says the changes are too extensive to warrant a kit release, so the project shall go down in history as the only one of its kind.
