Texan tuner Hennessey Performance has filmed a video showcasing its extensive upgrade program for the Ford Mustang. Once outfitted with a 3.0-liter supercharger and other mods, the pony car rivals the Dodge Challenger Super Stock in power and acceleration.
Aside from a huge supercharger mentioned above, the power kit includes fuel injection nozzles, a fuel pump, a high-flow air intake system, and assorted ECU tweaks. As a result, the stock 5.0-liter V8 begins pumping out 818 PS (807 hp / 602 kW) at 7,200 RPM. It also hits a peak torque of 918 Nm (677 lb-ft) as early as 4,500 RPM.
The performance figures speak for themselves. The pony zaps 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.3 seconds, concludes a quarter-mile run in 10.7 seconds, and can get close to 322 km/h (200 miles per hour).
The upgrade is compatible with manual and automatic transmission variants. Also on the list are a sports exhaust system, Brembo brakes, forged wheels sized 19 and 20 inches in diameter, and various interior options.
