Rare Ford Mustang crops up on sale for $40k+

One out of 50 Ford Mustang Hurst Edition can be yours if you can offer more than the current highest bid of $40,100 USD for it.

The special edition came out in the model year 2010 to celebrate the Mustang’s debut as a pace car. The main feature is a visual overhaul: white body comes adorned with gold stripes and Hurst badges on the front fenders. You can find gold accents on the 20-inch wheels, too.

Inside, the trim predominantly consists of white leather contrasted against black plastic. Hurst badges can be found on the seats and floor mats, and the gear lever knob is uniquely shaped.

Out of the whole series, only five cars were produced with six-speed manual gearbox. The example on sale is #2 of 50, manual, and in “great” overall condition with around 1,370 km (850 miles) under its belt.

Power is supplied by a 4.6-liter mechanically supercharged V8 rated at 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque. A MagnaFlow exhaust system is perhaps the most notable upgrade here.
