Rare Ford Mustang Revenge Edition crops up on sale

An exotic 2019 Ford Mustang convertible tuned by Peregrine Automotive has gone on sale online. The car with a turquoise exterior and only around 500 km (300 miles) of range can be yours for an asking price of $120,000 USD, even though the tuner charged $149,000 USD for the conversion alone.

Only a handful of Revenge Edition units exists in the world. Each one features a full carbon fiber body with only the doors left as is (and the fabric top). A rather elaborate body kit helps it stand out even further with new bumpers, fenders, hood, trunk lid and other parts. A black, badge-less radiator grille adds to the overall aura of aggression, and 20-inch forged rims wrapped in Michelin tires round things off with considerable style.

Then there is the engine, which uses a Roush-tuned Whipple supercharger to get up to 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) out of its five liters of displacement. A ten-speed automatic conveys the torque to the wheels.

A similarly tuned Revenge Edition coupe surfaced on the market last year with an even more profound boost to 1,200 PS (1,183 hp / 882 kW). As far as we know, these cars are no longer emission-compliant in a number of U.S. states and European countries, which could explain the moderate asking price.
