Ford has decided to turn the presentation of the next-gen Mustang into a grand show and costume contest. In other words, take your flannel shirts and bell-bottomed jeans out of your dusty closets – it’s time to party like it’s 70s!
Actually, Ford will accept any fashion choice that corresponds to the debut year of any Mustang generation. This means there will be six competing groups in total, with a winner in each group. The most irresistibly fashionable participant will be awarded a latest-gen Mustang GT on a two-year free rent basis. The second place winner will be given an opportunity to test-drive the new car, and whoever makes it to the third place on the main scoreboard will be allowed to take passenger’s seat on a racetrack.
The premiere – which is scheduled for next Wednesday, September 14, will also host a rally in which more than 1,000 people will take part.
