B is for Build has hit this year’s SEMA show with a drastically modified 1967 Ford Mustang inspired by a 3D sketch by independent designer Karan Adivi. According to Carscoops, the car features a chassis taken from the filming set of the 2014 movie ‘Need for Speed’.
The artist tried to visualize what a powerful Mustang would look like in the late 1960s if it were designed with the engine between the axles. He endowed the virtual sketch with a Ferrari engine, just because it looked cool.
B is for Build took the sketch as the starting point for their project and built a very similar-looking one-off racer using the NFS car chassis mentioned above. It is worth mentioning that the chassis was originally used for a mid-engined Bugatti Veyron replica.
Rather than sourcing a Ferrari engine like the original author envisioned, though, the team went with a much easier-to-find Chevrolet V8. The engine boasts a large number of upgrades, too, but the tuner hasn’t revealed all the specifics yet.
