Epic 1965 Ford Mustang traded on BaT for $32k

Most restomod projects tend to aim at a uniform design concept, but this Mustang manages to mix styles and defy conventions with its features taken from the realms of drag racing, drift racing, and more.

The donor vehicle rolled off the line in 1965, but there is hardly anything stock remaining about the car. The brutal full-metal body is massively wider than stock, the subframes originate from a 2020 Mustang GT350, and the front splitter along with the fender flares look like something straight out of a video game. 18-inch CCW wheels shod in Yokohama Advan tires sit tightly in the arches. The unpainted metal aesthetic helps tie all the different elements together.

The interior is all about the track. There are Status Racing carbon buckets installed, a downright formidable roll cage and telemetry gauges on the dashboard. The steering wheel is a Sparco.

Power comes from a modern five-liter Coyote V8 tuned to around 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW). A ten-speed automatic transmission drives the rear axle.
