Around a year ago, the famous tuning team known as Ringbrothers unveiled an opulent 1965 Ford Mustang restomod that it called ‘Caged’. Fast-forward to the present day, and the team has come to the SEMA show with a very similar, yet different project jokingly named ‘Uncaged’.
The vast restoration effort required more than 4,000 hours of work. The muscle car ended up with a mint-looking body and aero kit, with everything down to the smallest detail matched to the rest. Unlike what some other tuning companies usually do, Ringbrothers used very little carbon fiber on the ‘Stang, lining the trunk area with it and calling it a day. The body shines with stainless steel, aluminum, and chrome accents.
A peek inside reveals a beige leather trim with complex embroidery on the seats and floor liner. The interior was redone by Sean Smith Designs and Upholstery Unlimited.
Power for the build comes from a naturally aspirated Coyote V8 extracting 467 PS (460 hp / 343 kW) and 569 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque from its five liters of displacement. A ten-speed A/T conveys the momentum to the rear wheels, and those aren’t stock, either. The rims are new and come wrapped in Continental tires for optimal road grip. Six-piston brake calipers can be seen behind the spokes.
The dynamic performance and pricing details haven’t been revealed.
