Exhaust system specialist MagnaFlow has released a whole number of upgrade options for the latest Ford Mustang ranging in prices from $600 to $4,600. The contents of some kits can even be customized to achieve the perfect engine tune.
The biggest upgrade is called the xMod Series Cat-Back Performance Exhaust. It comes with a couple of straight mufflers and resonators, as well as a high-flow H-pipe. The accelerated exhaust gas release should improve the performance of the engine while letting you fine-tune the sound via the provided valves. As an alternative, you can replace the H-pipe with a differently shaped pipe in your order for a slightly different sound note.
Then there is a trio of Competition-series exhausts. $3,400 buys you a system with 3-inch main piping and 4-inch finisher tips. $2,500 gets you a system that’s a half of an inch bigger in diameter and sounds different. Finally, $600 only replaces the resonator in the OEM system.
Rounding off the list is a duo of EcoBoost-compatible options. One of them has straight mufflers and costs $2,000, while the other one has proper chambered mufflers and benefits from the company’s proprietary No-Drone tech. It costs $3,150.
