Ford Mustang GT makes a surprisingly sporty-looking truck

Both muscle cars and pickups are considered traditional means of transportation in the United States, but fusing the two together is a weird idea, to say the least. Nonetheless, one such vehicle has just cropped up in the USA based on a fifth-gen Mustang GT and a vintage Ford F100.

The ‘Stang donated its frame and chassis, while the body was sourced from the 68-year-old F100. The doors, the top and the glass dome were kept as is while the rest received an overhaul to look more like an actual daily-driven production car. The headlights, the grille and some of the body kit also came from the Mustang list of parts, resulting in a surprisingly coherent build.

The tuner took care to avoid fancy modern materials like GFRP and CFP in the project, fabricating all the bodywork from metal. The muscle car’s stock 4.6-liter V8 continued its work under the hood delivering up to 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) to the wheels. The suspension and the handling were updated as well.

The images seen here were posted in the Original 306 Truck Club community, but we were unable to find any mention of the truck being on sale, so it’s probably not.
