Ford Mustang GT gets an active-valve exhaust upgrade

Canadian tuners from MBRP have designed a valve-controlled exhaust system for the latest Ford Mustang GT. It is made from stainless steel with carbon-wrapped finishers and comes with a lifetime warranty.

The main pipes are 76 mm thick (3 inches), while the carbon-trimmed tips are 102 mm large (4 inches). Active valves in the tract mean that you can adjust the engine soundtrack at a push of a button. There are three settings to choose from, called Normal, Sport, and Race. You can hear all three in the video here.

The tuner’s official website lists the cheapest exhaust for U.S. $1802.5. MBRP says it is partly compatible with the Mustang GT Convertible as well, but some modifications will be necessary to maintain a gap between the undercarriage brace and the body of the car.
