Just as many of us suspected, Ford apparently has serious plans in store for its increasingly diluted “Mustang” nameplate.
According to reports coming from the brand’s authorized dealerships, as many as four new Mustang-badged vehicles are coming to the market in the near future. One of them is a likely-electric sedan, while another one is an AWD rally car inspired by the Porsche 911 Dakar, running on the stock Mustang chassis and tech with some improvements.
The remaining two newcomers are special editions. One of them is a kitted-out Mustang with a low-end EcoBoost engine under the hood, while the other one is a deluxe convertible with a naturally aspirated V8 and manual transmission. Please note that, while these reports sound trustworthy enough, the company hasn’t confirmed them yet.
