The sports department of Ford Motors has unveiled two drift car models based on the Ford Mustang RTR and built for this season’s Formula DRIFT World Championship.
To comply with the racing regulations, both vehicles received enhanced V8 engines now delivering up 900 horsepower (670 kW). They also got new suspension, superchargers and unique radiator grille designs.
The Ford Mustang RTR racecar was initially conceived by the manufacturer as a drift vehicle. Its top modification, the Spec 3, came with a power-packed 5.0-liter V8 good for approx. 700 hp (520 kW).
