Ligier to release Ford Mustang Anniversary Edition

Ligier, a French manufacturer of EVs and urban cars who once built sport and race vehicles, will be celebrating its 50th birthday with a release of a custom Ford Mustang-based car.

Ligier will enlist the help of Onroak Automotive for the project. The sporty vehicle will get a 3.7-liter V6 engine with 335 hp (250 kW) at its disposal, just like what some early Ford Mustangs used to have.

Rumor has it that the modded Ford Mustang series by Ligier will celebrate its public debut in September and go on sale two months later priced at U.S. $100,000 and above.

Ligier has been designing sport cars and race cars since the 1970s. The company has made a permanent switch to the production of quad bikes, electric vehicles and urban cars in 2008.
