Back in the time, Ford released a special edition of its Mustang muscle car dedicated to the movie “Bullitt”, appropriately named the Ford Mustang Bullitt. Now, car atelier Steeda has presented its own rendition of the series in an homage to Steve McQueen, the actor playing the protagonist of the movie.
The Ford Mustang Bullitt Steve McQueen Edition normally has 500 hp / 375 kW at its disposal, but Steeda suggests paying extra for a boost to 775 hp (580 kW). The upgrade removes the rear seat row to accommodate a proper roll cage.
The special Ford Mustang series also features Bullitt logos throughout the body, window blinds, and front-mounted aerodynamic parts.
Steeda only plans to release a few hundred such vehicle per year. The original Ford Mustang Bullitt costs at least U.S. $46,500 to buy and $21,000 to upgrade to the Steve McQueen Edition.
