Ford Mustang gets all-around upgrade from Shelby GT

Shelby GT has released an all-around upgrade for the Ford Mustang GT fastback and convertible series.

The overhauled muscle car sports a ventilated hood, larger kick plates, a restyled radiator grille, and a new spoiler lip in the rear. There are also sporty gold stripes running along its entire body. The vehicle rests on 20-inch wheels clad in professional-grade tires. For those who desire more individuality, there is an optional GT-H package which comes with a number of stylistic improvements for the front part of the car, lending it a somewhat more aggressive appearance.

From the technical perspective, the Ford Mustang GT by Shelby GT features new Ford Performance springs and anti-roll bars for improved steering. New differential axles, a larger coolant tank and a better radiator are all available as paid options.

In its production version, the supercar comes driven by a 5.0L V8 engine good for 480 hp (358 kW). Shelby GT says it is working on a custom turbocharger design, which will reportedly raise the engine performance to 700 hp (522 kW).

Those willing to upgrade their Ford Mustang GT can already do so for a minimum of U.S. $61,300.
